This will be a special session of Beekeeping 101 for age kids 10+. Parent must attend with child. Enrollment is limited to 6 families: 1 child age 10+ (no exceptions, please) with 1 parent per session.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR ENROLLMENT: (1) Please enroll as parent (your name) plus 1 guest. (2) For guest, please provide NAME and AGE of child. (3) For additional children per parent, please contact us directly via email.
Please note: for the safety of the group, it is of utmost importance to maintain a calm demeanor around the bees.
Beekeeping 101 is an introductory 2-hour session that includes instruction, discussion, and suiting up to inspect a hive in the bee yard. This class is offered free of charge, but advance online registration is required. Release of liability form is required for all participants (it will be provided upon registration).

- Calm / quiet presence is a requirement in the bee yard.
- Wear thick, long pants (such as jeans), closed-toed shoes (such as boots), thick socks, and long sleeves. Loose clothing is preferable rather than fitted clothing.
- Be aware: bee stings are always a possibility.
